I left my nalgene in the car overnight and the water inside froze.
This isn't right. This is California.

Speaking of Nalgene.
Am I the only person on the planet that did not know that Nalgene is a bad, bad company that, in addition to fancy and overpriced hiking gear, makes hideous 'cages' for animal testing?

Nevaeh, my grandmothers pit bull, bit Scout today.
She's got two good sized puncture wounds...one on her neck and one on her shoulder.
The vet says she'll be fine and she's kinda funny all loaded on pain pills.

I wasn't worried at all when I got the call.
I figured my grams was just overreacting because she's obsessed with all of the dogs.
When she brought Scout home, I freaked and cried a little bit.
She looks awful and seems really sad/scared/traumatized.
I knew I loved that little shit, but now I know that my life would be shit without her.

I can't afford to be the special kind of dog owner that takes her dogs to day care while at work, but I'm definitely going to hire a dog walker so I don't have to rely on my grandmother so much.

IN OTHER NEWS:

My boss freaked out when one of the affiliate leaders said the word 'queer' and immediately called me to ask if this was an acceptable term.
I am now the official Queer Ambassador of my organization.
Then our admin assistant told me she is bi and asked me if I could recommend books on polyamory.
All I could think of was the ethical slut because that's really all I've read.
Does anyone, and by anyone I mean GLITTERBUTCH, have some good recommendations?

I’m not sure what holds me together most days, but sometimes it is definitely AJ.

We went to Harbin Hot Springs yesterday.

We stayed up way too late Wednesday night and got up far too early yesterday morning, but it was good.

The drive was beautiful.

We started off with lymphatic cleansing massage in hopes it would cure the colds we are suffering from.

Then spent the rest of the day soaking in the pools and sweating in the sauna.

It was a little bit of perfection.

It was exactly what I needed.
It is good to have good friends.
